A day for a picnic

Aarg the internet is incredibly slow at the moment, so wasn’t able to post yesterday! A couple of days ago we headed to Shakespeare Reserve for the afternoon – one of our family’s favourite picnic spots over the years. Although it wasn’t brilliantly sunny, it was still quite warm and we had a lovely afternoon walking along the beach and eating Christmas leftovers!

My outfit was mostly about this leopard skirt and my new bracelet from Wanderlust+Co. Let me know what you think! :)

Boxing Day Races!

Yesterday afternoon was spent enjoying an Auckland Boxing Day tradition – the Boxing Day races at Ellerslie racecourse! The day is all about dressing up in your best gear, soaking up the sunshine, enjoying good food, drinks, and music, and occassionally watching the horse races! :) I will definitely try to go again one year - next time for the full day in the Fashion in the Fields section (we arrived late and missed all of that action yesterday which was a bummer!) and although I didn’t get a chance to this time I’m keen to go back and place a bet or two!

I decided to wear my orange skater dress from TopShop, which was my emergency wedding outfit in Bandung – do you remember? Turned out to be a handy purchase! ;) I teamed it with my sequin clutch and L.A.M.B heels, and my new Wanderlust+Co jewelry – an online purchase which arrived just in time for Christmas (Merry Christmas to me! haha ) :)

How did you spend your Boxing Day?

Christmas outfit

Happy Boxing Day folks! Hope you’ve all had a lovely lazy day recovering from lots of Christmas fun :)

Here is what I wore yesterday, a mixture of silver and stars with a touch of red for Christmas :)  I love this floaty, asymmetric skirt – what do you think of it? I picked it up in Hong Kong airport on my way to NZ, and am thinking it will go well with tights and a leather jacket when I’m back in the Beijing winter :) Anyway, back to Christmas – we had a lovely day filled with lots of family and good food. After a huge lunch and equally huge amounts of dessert, we spent the remainder of the afternoon exchanging gifts and playing Monopoly with my little cousin – he’s very smart (and cute) and somehow managed to beat us all! haha ;)

See you again tomorrow! :)
