Unfortunately, even a four day weekend has to come to an end at some point and so it’s back to work we go.. But not without sharing a few photos from the weekend first!
We were a bit slack at making it to all the royal celebrations – London just has far too many people! Yesterday we tried to go and watch the Queen’s procession from Westminster to Buckingham Palace, but we got about as far as the tube station exit before we were faced with a huge crush of people that wasn’t moving and were forced to turn back..
We did however, manage to see the Jubilee river pageant – a spectacle that hasn’t been seen on the Thames in over 350 years. It was fun to be part of the crowd, waving Union Jack flags and cheering for all the boats, and of course getting a tiny glimpse of the royal family! Can you spot the Queen (a tiny white dot) or Kate Middleton (a tiny red dot) under the awning on the big red & gold boat? There were a couple of boats representing New Zealand – and even a Maori waka which was pretty impressive to see
Here’s to Her Majesty – long live the Queen
Hope you all have a great Wednesday!
