Black Tie Dinner
Happy Monday folks!
How was your weekend? If you follow me on Instagram (@phoandchips) you’ll know mine couldn’t have been any better – an amazing Olympics Opening Ceremony on Friday, watching the men’s road race & checking out the Holland Heineken House on Saturday, then watching events in Hyde Park on Sunday followed by some super exciting football games at Wembley Stadium where Prince William and David Beckham were sitting just behind us! Pretty incredible.. I LOVE the Olympics! haha.
But today I wanted to show you the outfit I wore to the NZ Olympic Black Tie dinner last week, which I was fortunate enough to attend. A lot of key NZ people were there, and the night included the revealing of our flag bearer for the Opening Ceremony, Nick Willis. I’d never been to a black tie event before, and wow it is so glam! Everyone looked amazing! I was lucky enough to score this really cute dress on sale at about 70% off just when I was panicking about what to wear – what do you think?
Hope you all have a wonderful start to the week!
For me, the opportunity to work with local boutiques or designers is a great privilege - so I was ecstatic to be approached to collaborate with British accessories label, Bracher Emden. Their pieces are all handmade, unique, and of stunning quality! I love this cute little evening bag and it’s the perfect size for a summer garden party or night out. Paired with a contrasting print, this would be my ideal weekend outfit! What do you think?
Today is the official opening of the London 2012 Olympic Games, and I’m so excited to see the opening ceremony & cheer on New Zealand! Hope you have a great Friday!
What do you think of this cute & flirty top I got from Sugarlips? I love the colours & design – the floaty body & sharp racer-back is a nice mix, and it’s perfect for hot summer days which London is finally enjoying! You can find it here.
In fact it’s been so rare to have such amazing, hot days this summer, that over the weekend I decided to spend as much of the day as possible wandering around taking photos – London is so beautiful when it’s sunny! I apologize/warn you in advance of the massive download of images, but hopefully you’ll like them!
Only 2 days to go until the Olympics begins! Can’t wait… Happy Wednesday all
