My 2012: Looking back, moving forward
The start of a new year is always a great time to look back and reflect on the many wonderful people, places, opportunities and experiences the last year brought me. I feel grateful for the opportunities I was given to work with new designers, brands, and photographers, and to travel to so many new and exciting places. The biggest change for me in 2012 was my decision to leave Beijing and move to London. Saying goodbye to good friends, and settling in to a new country and life is challenging – but I knew that I was ready for a new chapter. I’m looking forward to seeing what 2013 will bring!
Finally, I want to say a huge thank you for all your continuing support and lovely comments, you make blogging all worth it!
Paradise in Puglia
Italy is my new obsession! A week there was more than enough to convince me of it’s charm, and persuade me to make plans to go back again as soon as possible. These photos are from our week in beautiful Puglia, full of olive groves, wineries, coastal towns, beautiful beaches, and stunning sunsets. We spent each relaxing day drinking in the scenery, enjoying Italian espresso, wine and antipasti, swimming in the sea – and watching the very first sunrise of 2013! I couldn’t have planned a better way to see in the New Year
More photos from Rome coming soon!
Tis the season
A quick photo diary of my first London Christmas – and although we dragged it out from Christmas Eve to Boxing Day, it still came and went much too quickly. I’m rarely homesick, but when Christmas rolls around I’m always so grateful to have close friends or relatives to share the holidays with and take my mind off missing my parents and New Zealand. Lazing around in winter woolies, enjoying the quiet presence of the Thames, watching movies, and sharing Christmas dinner with my cousins was just perfect – and thank goodness for Skype!
Hope you had a wonderful few days as well
