Nowadays you can’t have Easter without chocolate… so what better place to spend it than Belgium! Having only visited Antwerp before, I was excited to have the chance to visit Brussels, Brugge, and Ghent this time around. All are such lovely places! Coming from New Zealand – a relatively ‘new’ and young country – it’s always fascinating to me to discover the much older, medieval cities of Europe, and Belgium is home to some of the best I’ve seen. Despite the freezing cold, we had so much fun exploring the cobbled streets, castles and churches, tiny pubs, and winding canals – and of course enjoying more than our fair share of waffles and good Belgian beers along the way..
