Introducing: Currie Lee of D-SATA

Happy Easter Monday everyone!

Today I’m excited to introduce you to an amazing Beijing-based designer and friend of mine, Currie Lee. A South-Korean Canadian, Currie is a New York licensed attorney-at-law ~ turned ~ bag designer. Take one look at her designs and you’ll realize just how talented this ex-lawyer is! Plus she is one of the sweetest people you could meet. Giving up a steady, relatively high-earning job to follow her passion for fashion and design, Currie is a great example of what can be achieved when you follow your heart and do what you love – after just a few short years, her label is already enjoying huge success in China!

We met in Beijing almost three years ago, when her label - D-SATA by CuR - was just starting to make a splash, and it’s been impressive to watch her business grow. I hope you will enjoy her story as much as I did :)

Dusk

Hello folks :)

Ok I have a confession – you may or may not have noticed that I’m pretty lazy simple when it comes to hair and makeup… and it finally caught up with me in these photos. My hair looks a total mess, haha! But oh well – it’s about the clothes right!? :D This was shot by the river, which has finally defrosted – winter is retreating!

Jacket, pants, booties: Zara / Sweater: American Apparel / Sunglasses: Prada / Clutch: D-SATA by Cur / Necklace: H&M / Watch: Michael Kors

As my Facebook and Twitter readers will know, I was involved with an exciting project all day on Sunday and should have the photos next week – it was such an exciting shoot, and I can’t wait to show you! :)

Thanks for reading, and for all the nice comments yesterday. See you tomorrow!

The LBD

Hello wonderful people! A happy 1st of December to you all! :)

Here are a few more snapshots from the Ritz-Carlton fashion show – and a few shots of my new LBD! Love this thing… comfy with a simple sillouhette, plus the sleeves and skirt length means it would work for either formal or casual occasions - the perfect addition to my wardrobe, and the answer to all future emergency outfit crises! haha ;)

Thank you to all the lovely readers who left comments yesterday – you guys put the biggest smile on my face! See you all again tomorrow :)
