Ritz-Carlton Beijing Winter Wedding Fair

It’s a gorgeous deep-blue-sky day in Beijing again today, hooray! The fresh air and sunshine is doing wonders for my mood

Here are some pictures from the Beijing Winter Wedding Fair held at the Ritz-Carlton last Saturday. The Ritz-Carlton put on a beautiful show which included a collection of wedding gowns from British designer Jenny Packham and L.A based couture fashion designer Monique Lhuillier, plus the eponymous Lusso Couture Fur collection (a collaboration between menswear designer David Ubl and Lusso creative director Sasa Lin). The event included Sasa Lin for Harper’s Bazaar Jewelry, D-SATA by CuR, and Bobbi Brown, and guests had a chance to talk to make-up experts, or browse through gorgeous displays of jewelry and wedding dresses after the show. I’ve posted a few pictures of my favourite dresses for you to see - what do you think of the designs?

‘Attitude’ Fashion Show @ The Opposite House

Happy Sunday people! Here are some photos from the fashion show I took part in yesterday! The event was called ‘Attitude’ held at The Opposite House and showcased 3 very talented German designers – David Ubl and his eponymous collection, Janine Grosche’s menswear line PATH, and Ralf Schuhmann’s Ralfebyralf line (do you remember when I first worked with David and Janine during the City Weekend shoot in the summer? ). It was the first time for me walking in a show so you can imagine my nerves backstage! But everyone was so amazing and friendly, the make up and hair stylists, models, and of course the designers themselves, and with a great and supportive crowd the day was a success as well as a lot of fun! I was wearing one of Ralf’s designs which features a dramatic tear away skirt that proved a bit of a crowd-pleaser, haha I wanted to share a short video with you but the internet here is so slow it won’t load!

Glamorous terraces

A few weeks ago I posted some behind-the-scenes pics from Lush, which was Part IV of a project Rich & I were invited to do with City Weekend Beijing magazine! Today I am finally able to post pics from Part I – with Parts II, III, and the official pics & final magazine spread still to come!

Part I was shot at on the rooftop terrace at Migas,where we had a (unusually) pretty sunset and Beijing’s night skyline as our backdrop Rich was wearing fabulous pieces by the very talented and lovely German menswear designer, David Ubl, while my dress is a locally designed piece from one of the many great local designer boutiques in Nali Patio. All accessories are by Currie Lee of D-SATA, and blue Steve Madden shoes are my own!

Although we (well, me at least!) were a bit nervous in the beginning having never done something like this before, the shoot was a lot of fun! Working with Rich, talented (and gorgeous!) make-up artist MeiLi Autumn, and the amazing team from City Weekend, made it easy to relax and not take everything too seriously.. as you can see from some of the pics haha I hope you like ‘em!
