Aarg the internet is incredibly slow at the moment, so wasn’t able to post yesterday! A couple of days ago we headed to Shakespeare Reserve for the afternoon – one of our family’s favourite picnic spots over the years. I am still day dreaming about the wonderful weekend I just had… Two of our amazing friends had the brilliant idea of throwing a reggae themed party to celebrate summer – and found the perfect place for it in a gorgeous, hidden corner of Miyun complete with river & white sand beach, just 1.5 hours drive from Beijing. The weather was perfect for camping, and we spent two days swimming in the river, soaking up the sun, enjoying BBQs, toasting marshmallows by the fire, and listening to reggae! Isn’t it amazing how relaxing it is to escape the city for a while and enjoy a little nature?
Hope you all had a good weekend and are refreshed & ready for the week ahead!Continue Reading..
I was in Shanghai last week for work, and Ollie decided to come down and join me We had a fun night exploring Tian Zi Fang (田子房), this great little place full of alleyways, with tiny shops, cafes, and restaurants tucked into every corner! I even finally managed to find a great fedora that fits perfectly and which I am SO thrilled with (I think I have an unusually large head? It is really hard for me to find hats that fit! haha ) and I have already seized the first opportunity to wear it!
Anyway, here are some pics of that night – I didn’t get that many good ones of the place itself as it was too dark.. but I would defiintely recommend anyone visiting Shanghai to check this place out! Will post some more pics from Shanghai soon…Continue Reading..
