Travel outfit

Hey guys!

I made it back to Beijing this afternoon, and it’s good to be home. We’ve just finished watching the movie TinTin which is so cute and reminds me of how obsessed I was with comic books as a kid – TinTin, Asterix & Obelix, X-men.. It’s always fun to see those characters come to life!

Just wanted to share another quick post with you before I head off to bed. Unfortunately I didn’t have the camera with me in Shanghai or someone to take outfit shots (nor the spare time, to be honest!), but Ollie managed to take these photos of my ‘travel outfit’ before I flew to Shanghai. My oversized coat and knee high boots have been so good to me this winter!

Relaxed courtyard

Hi lovely readers!

Today’s photos were shot in the courtyard of an old apartment complex in Dongzhimen – people in these older, smaller complexes are so friendly and nice! Maybe it’s because the community is smaller so everyone knows everyone… At any rate, it was a nice change from my more modern highrise complex where living with so many people seems to mean no one smiles or wants to hold the door open for the next person!

This outfit is another simple, relaxed look combining this oversized silver sweater and my knee-high suede boots (still obsessed!).

p.s. Can you spot the chicken in one of the photos? :D

Knee-high boots

It’s Saturday – and I’m officially on a five-day holiday for Chinese New Year. Having slept in until 12.30pm today I am feeling well-rested, but guilty – there are so many things I want to do over this break!

Here is today’s Look of the Day – shots taken in Sanlitun’s back streets. The outfit features my awesome suede knee-high boots, which I am obsessed with (thank you Zara sales!). Tomorrow I’m planning to either visit the hutongs, or check out the newly renovated National Museum which I’ve heard great things about. How are you planning to spend your weekend?
