It’s New Zealand Day!
Happy Monday all!
Hope you had a lovely weekend. Mine was fairly relaxed - those of you who follow me on Facebook, Twitter or Instragram (@phoandchips) will know that I had a great ‘food weekend’ – starting with a girls wine dinner on Thursday and continuing through to blueberry pancakes for brunch, and baking banana & white choc-chip muffins! Mmm
But on to today’s post – which is all about NZ! Yes today is our national day: Waitangi Day. Sadly, here in China I don’t get the day off work with the rest of New Zealand - but to help celebrate I thought I’d show you a few NZ designers I think are bringing something exciting and fresh to the international fashion scene (I am in LOVE with the prints and colours in World’s SS2011-12 collection…). Check it out and let me know what you think!
Happy Friday guys!
I just realised the Christmas tree is still up at the office – is that bad luck? Either way, Christmas feels like it was so long ago already! Luckily here in China we do have another holiday to look forward to – Chinese New Year is just around the corner! It definitely pays to celebrate as many holidays as possible
These photos are from last Friday when Ollie finally arrived in Auckland, and we were reunited after 7 months apart! I took him to one of my favourite hang-out spots, Mission Bay – a popular beach close to my home, where we enjoyed a snack and took a few photos (despite the strong wind and scattered rain!). Mum then spoiled us with a Vietnamese dinner and home-made apple pie, mmm!
I love being near the ocean – it’s one of the things I miss the most, living here in Bejing. Doesn’t the sound and smell of the sea just make you feel so relaxed? Hope you’re having a good day, and have a fantastic weekend ahead!
