Hi guys, Happy Thursday to you all!
This is the first in a series of what I hope will be something different and interesting for you – posts about people from the fashion industry here in Beijing! China’s fashion industry is relatively new, and rapidly developing – I hope these posts will give you an interesting look at some of the creative and inspirational people living and working right in the middle of it all!
Today I have the pleasure of introducing you to Hungarian fashion designer Ralf Schuchmann. Last month I was lucky to work with Ralf, shooting his inaugural collection Ralfebyralf (do you remember?) The shoot came after a very successful fashion show at The Opposite House, which I was also involved with. The shoot was my first ever campaign and was a lot of fun! I’m excited to show you the final photos (let me know what you think!
) and bring you this interview with Ralf. Read on to find out what inspires him, his thoughts on China’s fashion industry, and his trend predications for 2012!
