Qian Men 前门
Happy Monday everyone!
How was your weekend? I spent yesterday catching up on all my favourite blogs – and drooling over the Milan fashion shows haha. Today’s outfit was shot by Qian Men (前门 – meaning ‘Front Gate’), on our way to brunch at Capital M last weekend. Qian Men used to guard the southern entry to the Inner City and the Forbidden City itself. Qian Men street is now one of the few pedestrian only streets in Beijing and is extremely popular on the weekends – we had to battle our way through the crowds! On a beautiful day like we had, this area is so picturesque. I love the history of this area (despite the more modern facade and the Star Bucks that sits at the entrance!) and it was fun to shoot here.
This sparkly sequined blazer was something I picked up at Stradivarius, and I wore it with sheer-back top from Zara. I love the long length at the back – this will be fun to wear more once the weather is warmer. I’m off to Shanghai tomorrow for work, exciting! I always have fun in Shanghai, it’s got such a buzz about it. The shopping and foodie scene is amazing, and this time I’ll also have a chance to catch up with some friends I haven’t seen in a while – a great extra bonus!
