Cambridge

Last weekend I was able to tick another item off my UK bucket list – punting in Cambridge :) The weather was perfect on the day of our visit – and Cambridge is such a stunning place. It’s like wandering around a movie set, or going back in time – everything feels steeped in history, and is so grand. Cobbled streets, churches & colleges, beautiful parks, and punting – oh the punting! I love being on the water – it’s so relaxing :)

I hope these pictures give you an idea of just how incredibly picturesque Cambridge is. I can’t wait to go back and explore more again soon!

A weekend away

Sometimes it’s nice to just get away from the city for a bit – to be by the sea, read books or go for walks, and eat home-cooked meals. Being still so new to England, there are a million places I want to explore – and last weekend I had the chance to spend a couple of days in East Anglia visiting family. I admit it was frickin freezing, but I loved it – fresh mussels, walking the dog, cups of coffee in bed… the best way to prepare for a new week, don’t you think? :)

Winter Wonderland

Woohoo it’s Christmas Eve!

For those who celebrate today, Merry Christmas to you all! But for those like me who celebrate on Christmas Day, we still have a few more hours of anticipation for the big day – and I can’t wait! Delicious food, presents, and spending precious time with loved ones – the holidays are the best :)

London goes all out to celebrate the holidays, and Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland is one of those many places where you can get into the Christmas spirit. Hope you like the pictures!
