A weekend in York

I recently spent the weekend away in York, exploring this pretty little town. Narrow cobblestone streets, tiny pubs and shops, beautiful churches and ancient stone walls, and sparkling with Christmas lights in the evening – it was a welcome and relaxing break away from the hectic hustle & bustle of London. Our two days slipped by too quickly, and I’ve already promised myself another visit in the summer! Hope you enjoy the photos :)

Scarf obsession

This beautiful square print scarf from Cos has been around my neck all week – it’s literally freezing right now! Funny how my neck gets cold but ankles don’t? At least it’s Friday – and a bright and sunny one too!

Hope you have a lovely day :)

Winter wool :)

Apologies  for lack of posting on the weekend again.. it was seriously hectic and I hardly had time to sit down in front of my computer! I have a lot to share with you later, but first I would like to introduce my new woolly friends! I love big knits in winter, but a lot of the ones found in chain stores are acrylic. Beijing winters are super dry, and dry+acrylic = crazy static hair and mini electric shocks! Not the best look.. haha ;) The solution was found in a tiny store called ‘i.f’ newly opened on Xiaoyun Lu around the corner from my apartment. This place stocks great knits and sweaters either imported from Korea, or made here in China in Hangzhou – and sold at very reasonable prices. Best of all, they are 100% wool – soft, warm, and static-free! :) I will do an outfit post with these soon.. I’ve been wearing them nonstop since I got them! :)

Hope you’ve had a good weekend, and your Monday is full of good things! :)
